Some days everything lands at once. Today was one of them — and since one of the things I built today is this very blog, it feels right to make it the first post.
Here’s what I got done:
- A Grin payment bridge for WooCommerce — shipped, built on BTCPay. You can take Grin payments straight through WooCommerce now. (announcement · source)
- Better Twitch emotes for Mary’s stream — fixed them up and got them working the way they should.
- Updated learnkana.org — gave it some long-overdue attention (note to self: i did not deploy this yet)
- Aligned BidWars’ language across the whole app to stay compliant — everything except the database naming conventions, which can wait their turn.
- Built this blog — a small, single-tenant CMS in Rust. One binary, a SQLite file, Markdown in and clean pages out.
I’m feeling good. Satisfied, even — and Mary’s been good lately, which only adds to it.
The thing I keep coming back to is how much of this I can actually do now. A lot of today simply wouldn’t have happened without Claude — not only because it helps me build faster, but because it explains things along the way and bridges the gaps in what I understand. It lets me reach for more complex work than I could alone and come out the other side having actually learned something. That makes it genuinely invaluable to me.
More soon, maybe. For now: a good day.
